Team is collaborating with Industrial Training Institutes in Faridabad, Ballabgarh etc. Students from trades - COPA, Machinist, Welder, Electronics etc. are being trained at the Imperial Auto Supported Training Center by REACHA team, and then the students go to plants for on job training.  This year the team has also taken the program to all Women ITIs to give the benefits of the program to them and further enhance their skills. REACHA  team is also linking these youth to market through series of placement drives. Also studying, the social return on investment that is being generated through this initiative. REACHA  tech team organized a Python Workshop for School Teachers where they were introduced to python programming in alignment with CBSE curriculum under the  Cadence  supported initiative to bring in coding to schools of Pune.  More than 8 teachers from three different schools participated in the python workshop, following things were covered: Variables and their types Operators  Conditional Statement  How to use Pycharm

REACHA  in partnership with  Sagar Group (SIRT Bhopal) | Sagar Group of Institutions  under  IBM  SkillsBuild organized a deep dive 3 days Value Addition Course on Machine Learning and IOT. (21, 22 and 25 Nov 2024) The team also organized IOT Hackfest on 27th Nov 2024. The team also conducted training sessions at  TIT Technocrats Group of Institutions, Bhopal  on 25 and 26 November 2024 under guidance of  Nishchal Kaushal .  Acknowledgement and Certificates were given to the meritorious students who participated in this effort supported by the SkillsBuild Program.

We thank Mr.  Sri Ram Pisupati  (IBM - Technical Content Dev Lead) for delivering a very interactive Mentorship session for ITI Women - In Madhya Pradesh.  The session captivated the audience and the students learned the tips on how to effectively communicate with others, and also get ready for jobs.

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL)  supported project Boniyar Kashmir -  An exposure visit was organized by IHCL on 23/11/2024 to provide students with practical knowledge and insights into the hotel industry, enhancing their skills and understanding of hotel operations. The team visited Hotel Heewan Retreat, Gulmarg.  Key Learnings were -  Students gained hands-on experience and insights into hotel operations Interacted with Hotel Staff & Management, enhancing communication skills Explored departments - Front Office, Housekeeping, & F&B Learned about customer service, hospitality standards, & industry's best practices

Members of team  REACHA  met with the District Collector (DC) - Shri Minga Sherpa (IAS) at their office in Baramulla. We discussed our ongoing initiatives and emphasized the crucial support provided by the Army and government for our CSR activities in Kashmir by our partners. The conversation highlighted the collective effort required to empower communities and ensure sustainable development in the region.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC)  supported Health Education Awareness Project for the students of Uttarakhand.  On 22.11.2024 - the team gave an expert session on CPR - Cardiopulmonary resuscitation - an emergency treatment that's done when someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped.  Recently, the cases of heart attacks have risen up significantly - In 2022, 32,457 people died from heart attacks in India, a 12.5% increase from 2021. The number of sudden deaths, which includes heart attacks, has been increasing over the past three years.  It is crucial that the knowledge about CPR is given to all including young children - so if some mishappening happens around them - they can help in reviving the patient! The training was organized with support of  UCOST Dehradun .

Team Conducted a Deep Dive training session on Full Stack Development for  Tula's Institute  Dehradun on 21.11.2024. This effort is under the partnership that  IBM  has with  UCOST Dehradun  to promote SkillsBuild. This is also in line with UCOST's mandate to work towards training youth in the state so they can become digital entrepreneurs!

Team is expanding the reach of Baramulla’s locally produced items to districts like Anantnag, Samba, and Shopian! (These items are produced at Chinar Yuva Center under guidance of  Indian Army ) With high-quality products like apple juices, jams and recycled bags crafted at the Chinar YUVA Baramulla, we are ensuring that excellence knows no boundaries. This progress of youth from Baramulla and their SHGs is not possible without support of  Genpact , that believes in empowering communities and creating sustainable opportunities. Together, we’re trying to spread the taste of Baramulla far and wide!

REACHA  team visited farm of one of beneficiaries Mr. Dilip Kumar Taye. Dilip’s village is located in the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, faces annual flash floods and siltation, making paddy cultivation difficult. His family income suffered because of low productivity and limited knowledge of disease, soil, and fertilizer management. Because of flash foods 8 feet of sand from the river bank was deposited on his farmland.  Assam Smartpur team organized training on horticulture, in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) on crop types, seed bed preparation, soil mixing, pest management, and post-harvest handling. Dilip was identified as a participant through community meetings. Impact: Dilip has applied the knowledge gained, improving his horticulture practices and has been able to introduce new varieties of fruits and vegetables to the area. Through training Dilip learned how to separate sand and soil. He now has a higher yield, positively impacting his household income and knowledge regarding flood resilience.
