29.5.2026 - Nokia Smartpur has been awarded the India CSR and Sustainability Award 2026 for Transformative Digital Empowerment & Rural Entrepreneurship. The team at REACHA continues to stay dedicated to reaching the last mile, to strengthen the last person in community. Team is currently implementing Smartpur across 205 panchayats Pan India.

Andhra Pradesh - As part of the Smartpur Project implemented by REACHA with support of Nokia, an awareness and training program on Livestock Care during summer was conducted. Animal Husbandry Department, Additional Director - Govardhan Reddy attended as the chief guest and advised farmers to provide sufficient fodder and drinking water to cattle during the intense summer season. He also explained the diseases affecting livestock in summer and the necessary preventive measures. Around 44 villagers, farmers, attended the training. During summer, livestock commonly suffer from these diseases and health problems: 1.Heat Stroke – Caused by excessive heat and high temperatures. 2.Dehydration – Due to lack of sufficient drinking water. 3.Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) – A contagious viral disease affecting cattle, sheep, and goats. 4.Mastitis – Infection and inflammation in the udder of dairy animals. 5. Skin Diseases – Skin infections caused by heat, sweating, and poor hygiene. 6.Tick and Fly-borne Diseases – Diseases spread by ticks, flies, and mosquitoes during hot weather. 7.Digestive Disorders – Problems like indigestion, bloating, and diarrhoea caused by spoiled feed or lack of water. 8.Respiratory Infections – Breathing-related infections due to hot and humid conditions. 9.Parasitic Diseases – Internal and external parasite infections increase during summer. 10.Fever and Weakness – Common due to heat stress and dehydration.

SIDBI(Small Industries Development Bank of India) supported Enterprise Development Project in collaboration with Assam Rifles in Nagaland. 26th June 2026 marked the certification ceremony for our trainees who have successfully completed Bamboo Enterprise Related Training. Formation of two group enterprises with 50 youth each has been facilitated under the project, along with registration of 50 MSMEs in Nagaland. Through SIDBI support team has taken the project in deep interiors of Nagaland; villages - Medziphema Village, Sakhabama Village, Kikruma Village, Chakabama Village, Jotsoma/ Shokhuvi Village. Team continues to work with the enterprises to market and credit link them in the coming times.

Our master trainer Insha from Uri, Kashmir is empowering the women of Uri, Kashmir through The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) supported Fashion Designing (Weaving Project) at Chinar Uri. She recently presented her work (hand woven) to Honorable Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha and Honorable DC of Baramulla - Sh. Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid (IAS). She is determined to uplift and strengthen the women of Uri!

- Criss Cross Learning and Integration of Teams
REACHA team focuses on sharing of learnings from one state to another. Kashmir team with Uttar Pradesh team sharing their learnings and the work that they are taking up in Kashmir to strengthen the country. Criss cross learnings help to open up the horizon and thought process and come up with innovations and new ideas to positively impact the last mile.

1) Belpokhra Smartpur Center, Nainital District - Center was formally inaugurated by Shri Sudhir Kumar, SDM Kaladhungi, who termed the initiative “a milestone for the development of the village.” 2) Karauli Smartpur Center, district Mahendragarh (Haryana) inaugurated by District Development & Panchayat Officer, District Agricultural Officer and BDO. 3) Visit to Nauda Smartpur Center, Nainital District by Shri Sudhir Kumar, SDM Kaladhungi to see the operations of Smartpur and interact with the community members.
- Power Packed Action from Nokia Smartpur Kashmir
Digital Literacy Classes and Financial Literacy E-Filing Camps underway at various locations in Kashmir. Team is implementing Smartpur in 8 Districts of Kashmir - connecting the unconnected. Team is working with determination to benefit the last person in community through the Smartpurs. Smartpurs over time have evolved as digital hubs in the far flung areas of Kashmir empowering the communities through technology!
- 15.5.2026 - SIDBI(Small Industries Development Bank of India) supported enterprise development project in Arunchal Pradesh.
Team visited the trainees of Bekhuliang's Farmers Enterprise (newly registered AOP). Under the SIDBI supported project, team facilitated the formation of this AOP for the farmers. Farmers jounrey, market linkage, orange revival etc. were discussed with the AOP members. Team continues to look forward to strengthening the orange farmers of Lohit District. Glimpse - Team with the members of the newly registered AOP.
- Computer Classes in action at Newly Established Nokia supported Smartpur locations across Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The momentum is building up. Team organized a master training and capacity building for the community members. Topics covered include - - Digital literacy - Basic computer skills - Skill development activities and technology awareness - Technology-enabled farming practices - AI-based agriculture tools - Digital platforms useful for farming and daily agricultural activities These centers are promoting and strengthening digital inclusion at remote and rural locations of country.

Productive meeting with Dr. Pankaj Ashiya (IAS), District Magistrate, Ahilyanagar, where we had the opportunity to present the vision, depth, and scale of the Nokia Smartpur Program being implemented through REACHA. Team shared an overview of the Smartpur initiative currently being implemented across 11 states and 13 locations in India. In Maharashtra, the program is active in Nashik, and we have recently begun the implementation phase in Ahilyanagar across 15 locations. The team also presented founder's book by respected J.C. Pant Sir to Dr Pankaj sir. The discussion reflected strong interest in the program’s model and long-term community transformation efforts. Team looks forward to working and strengthening the intervention areas with support of District Administration.
