Snapshots from 29 May 2025 - REACHA HQ Team in Wakro and Bakhuliang Villages, Arunachal Pradesh -

Arunachal Pradesh is known for its oranges, particularly the Wakro Orange (also called Arunachal Mandarin Orange), which is a major horticultural crop in the state. REACHA team with support of SIDBI(Small Industries Development Bank of India) under guidance of Indian Army is conceptualizing and working towards revival of oranges in Wakro Village in Lohit District.

The community and the farms are severely affected with diseases that have affected the orange cultivation.

The project aims to not only revive and regenerate the orange production in Arunachal but also develop enterprises.

Understanding ground level assessment from community is the most critical component.
