Smartpur Center Spotlight - Nokia Smartpur Centre – PANCHNOTA
Panchnota is a remote village situated in the foothills, approximately 25 km from Narnaul, Haryana. Due to geographical isolation, limited infrastructure and inadequate transportation facilities, accessing basic government services, welfare schemes, digital education has long been a challenge for its residents. Many villagers had to travel 15–20 km to access these services, resulting in additional expenses, lost time and difficulties, particularly for economically weaker families.
For many, the challenge was not just awareness or eligibility for government schemes, but the lack of accessible facilities to avail their rightful benefits.
Nokia Smartpur Centre in Panchnota has brought these essential facilities closer to the community. Serving an estimated population of 3,150 people and extending support to the neighbouring Ropar Sarai Panchayat, the centre has emerged as an important digital and community service hub, particularly benefiting Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class communities.
Empowering Women and Strengthening Community Awareness: Regular training programmes and awareness sessions focus on women's empowerment, livelihood development, health, hygiene and education, encouraging greater community participation and access to new opportunities.
