SIDBI - Supported Enterprise Development Program

We are happy to share through Nagland Team's continuous efforts under the SIDBI(Small Industries Development Bank of India) supported enterprise development program - team has been able to officially register a group of 50 community members from Kikruma Village, Nagaland - Kura Enterprise.

These group will be primarily focusing on Bamboo Products.

They are from far flung areas of Nagaland.

Kikruma lies within a hilly, high-altitude region. The area follows regional trends of being largely inhabited by the Chakhesang Naga community.

The above could not be possible without the support of Assam Rifles Kohima - who has helped us to identify pockets in Kohima and nearby regions where we can take the SIDBI program and create maximum impact.

These are areas where not much has happened in the past and this is first of its kind intervention.

The focus is now on market and credit linkage for the Kura Enterprise. We wish them all the best.

The goal of the program is to strentghen local youth of northeast - train them and take them towards enterprise creation. The same would also strengthen their local economy and also economy of the country.
