- Benefit Given to Community Member through Smartpur; Location - Waghere
- Smartpur Facilitated: Linkage created with Government Schemes - Magael Tyala Solar Pump Scheme, Crop Insurance, RTE form, Kisan Credit Card Form Filled.
- Challenge tackled through the intervention:
Beneficiary, a 39-year-old resident of Waghere village, Maharashtra has dedicated his life to agriculture and poultry farming. Despite his hard work, water scarcity had been a persistent hurdle impacting both his farming and poultry operations.
The beneficiary relied heavily on an electricity-powered motor to supply water, but frequent power outages disrupted this vital resource.
Additionally, during long nights of power load shedding, he often found himself irrigating fields in darkness, exposing himself to danger from wild animals lurking nearby.
- Role of Smartpur: Team facilitated his application for the Magael Tyala Solar scheme. After two months of submitting the application, he learned that his application was approved. With a contribution of ₹23,971, Beneficiary received a solar Pump Setup worth ₹1.75 lakh.
Community Mobilizers and Smartpur Center Facilitators played a key role in facilitating the above, and also in taking and creating awareness about this important government scheme deep in remote communities.
