This a vibrant ST-majority village with a population of around 1,600 and 277 households, where agriculture, dairy, and small-scale rural enterprises form the backbone of the local economy.
Under the Nokia CSR initiative, a SMARTPUR Centre has been established in the Gram Panchayat building to serve the community. The Centre delivers a suite of online services: access to government schemes, e-governance, online documentation, financial inclusion, digital literacy, and skill development programs. Digital literacy classes are regularly held, empowering rural children, youth, and women to build digital competency and enhance their employability.
A Banking Correspondent (BC) Point operates at the Centre, providing essential banking services such as cash withdrawal, deposit, balance enquiry, and DBT support, ensuring convenient financial access for all.
Key stakeholder departments include Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and SJE. The Centre records an average monthly footfall of 1,500+ services delivered across the SMARTPUR pillars.
The SMARTPUR Centre has strengthened community engagement by organizing impactful outreach and livelihood camps—Aadhaar enrollment and correction drives, E-KYC camps, government welfare scheme awareness sessions, and specialized Goat & Cattle Rearing Training programs.
A key feature is the appointment of dedicated, village-based team who actively support the Centre by conducting various activities under the project and helping strengthen its impact.
By bridging the gap between digital technology and rural aspirations, the SMARTPUR Centre in Nepalpura continues to empower communities with essential tools, training, and connectivity—paving the way for a digitally enabled and self-reliant rural Dungarpur in Rajasthan.
