Nokia Smartpur Center Spotlight #4 Maharashtra – Mulegaon, Trimbakeshwar Block, Nashik District

The Mulegaon Smartpur Centre is located in one of the prominent tribal belts of Maharashtra. The centre caters to over 950 families and more than 4,500 people.

Operated under the Nokia Smartpur initiative, the centre delivers online services, including access to government schemes, e-governance services, online documentation, financial inclusion, digital literacy, and skill development programs. It also functions as a local digital classroom and facilitation point for rural youth and women to enhance their employability and digital competency.

The Centre operates a Banking Correspondent (BC) Point offering essential banking services such as cash withdrawal, deposit, balance enquiry, and DBT support.

In addition, the centre has organized several community outreach and livelihood-focused camps, such as Aadhaar enrollment and correction drives, E-KYC camps, awareness sessions on government welfare schemes, and specialized Goat & Cattle Rearing Training programs. These initiatives have strengthened community engagement and improved access to information and services in rural areas.

Key Stakeholders Departments involved - Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Rural Development, and e-Governance.

Center records an average monthly footfall of 700+ services across the Smartpur pillars.

The local economy of the region is primarily based on farming, dairy, and small-scale rural enterprises. By bridging the gap between digital technology and rural aspirations, the Mulegaon Smartpur Centre continues to empower communities with tools, training, and connectivity — paving the way for a digitally enabled and self-reliant rural Maharashtra.
