Nokia Smartpur Center Spotlight #3

Assam Dheamji District - Dhunaguri Smartpur Centre

The Dhunaguri Smartpur Centre, located in Dhunaguri Borgaya

Village under Amguri Gram Panchayat in Assam’s Dhemaji district, serves as a vital digital hub for five surrounding villages (Dhunaguri Borgaya, Bormukali, Garhmora, Dhunaguri, and Dhunaguri Koibartta) benefiting over 800 families and nearly 3000 people.

Operated under the Nokia Smartpur initiative, the centre offers a wide range of digital services including access to government schemes, banking and financial services, and computer education, making it a one-stop digital solution for the community.

It collaborates actively with departments such as Agriculture, RSETI, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, and Fisheries, and records an average monthly footfall of around 650 services across the Smartpur pillars of Education, Livelihood, Governance, and Financial Inclusion.

The local population primarily depends on agriculture, horticulture, pisciculture, and livestock rearing, and the centre plays a key role in enhancing their access to opportunities and entitlements through digital inclusion as well as engagement with Govt departments.
