In addition to this 360 youth from Kupwara have been trained in Retail Trade, and out of these 243 youth have been market linked/placed
The above marks a total of 860 youth from Kupwara being trained and 629 youth being market linked/placed through the sustained efforts of IIFL Foundation, Indian Army and REACHA since 2022.
Dawat-e-Kupwara brought together distinguished guests from District Administration Kupwara, Indian Army, Hoteliers, project representatives, trainees, trainees’ parents and alumni to appreciate the achievements of the IIFL Foundation supported Projects in Kupwara and its role in supporting career opportunities and livelihoods.
An important part of the programme was the alumni trainee experience sharing session, during which former trainees shared their learning experiences, career journeys and placement experiences after completing the course. Their stories reflected how hospitality training helped them develop practical skills, build confidence and explore employment opportunities in the hospitality sector.
The highlight of the day was trainees of Chef Training, who prepared dishes that were served for tasting at Dawat-e-Kupwara. All the guests enjoyed them a lot!
The IIFL Foundation, the Indian Army and REACHA remain committed to empowering youth in Kupwara through Skill Development Trainings, helping them access employment opportunities, build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the well-being of their families and communities.
