In a major step towards promoting sustainable agriculture and rural development, REACHA, under its Smartpur initiative, recently conducted a five-day livelihood training on Integrated Agricultural Practices at Kangripora Panchayat, Block Khag (Budgam), in collaboration with KVK Budgam, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Animal Husbandry.
The training aimed to uplift the socio-economic conditions of local farmers through practical knowledge-sharing and skill enhancement. Expert resource persons from all collaborating departments led sessions on modern farming techniques, animal husbandry practices, integrated nutrient management, and sustainable agriculture.
A major highlight was the exposure visit to KVK Budgam, where farmers got hands-on training and live demonstrations of innovative agricultural techniques.
To facilitate real-world implementation, participants were also provided with hybrid seed varieties, vermicompost, and essential agricultural tools post-training.
At REACHA, we remain committed to fostering self-reliance, sustainable livelihoods, and community-based development through such impactful initiatives.
