5th September - Teachers Day

September 5 is celebrated as Teacher's Day in India to honor the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India's second President and a respected philosopher and educator. 

The day is to recognize the work of all teachers, and the day is an annual observance to show appreciation for their contributions to society.
