REACHA HQ team inaugurated the training for youth at Jotsomo Village, Nagaland in presence of Major Debashish from Assam Rifles, Youth Presidents from the Village, and Mr. Ruovi (Master Trainer) from Nagaland.
Jotsoma is an Angami Naga village located about eight kilometres west from the state capital, Kohima. The total population of the village is about 2,458.
The training and guidance to youth is being given in collaboration with Naga Feather - company that specializes in Bamboo Crafting Products from Nagaland.
The Government of India's National Bamboo Mission (NBM) has a significant presence in Nagaland, where bamboo is a crucial resource and cultural element. The Nagaland Bamboo Policy, aligned with the NBM, focuses on developing bamboo as both a resource and a viable enterprise.
REACHA Team also have set up a training office in Jotsomo, and got an opportunity to brief the Commanding Officer of Assam Rifles, Kohima - Col Tarun Sir about Program's aims and objectives.
