Nokia Smartpur Samba Jammu Budgeted Activity on “Rural Sustainability through Horticulture Intervention”. 

We are pleased to share that the budgeted activity titled “Rural Sustainability through Horticulture Intervention” was successfully conducted in collaboration with KVK Samba and Directorate of Extension S.K. University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology of Jammu under Smartpur by REACHA.

As part of the program:

-Faculty members from AIIMS participated in the event.

-A free blood pressure (BP) check-up was facilitated for all attendees.

-Participants were distributed hybrid saplings of mango and orange.

These saplings represent the first breed of the “Cysta” variety, newly introduced and planted by Rainfed Research Sub-station (It conducts research on fruit crop cultivation, including nutritional requirements and pest/disease management).

The official inauguration of this breed is still pending, making this an important milestone in our initiative.
