REACHA team interacted with youth with hearing loss at Gas Rahat Govt ITI, Bhopal (Directorate of Skill Development MP). These students were given an orientation about IBM SkillsBuild and were onboarded on the same to start their learning journey.
The objective of the ITI when it first started in December 1984 was to train people who were affected in Bhopal during Gas Tragedy in December, 1984.
The team also had an interactive session with the students physically, and some team members joined online as well. The key discussion points included guiding the students on deep dive projects with SkillsBuild.
To enhance the skills, these students will undergo a one-month Web Development Training Program in physical mode at the ITI college, similar to the Betul ITI model that the team implemented under Skillsbuild where the focus was on women who come from remote tribal background in Betul.
This training aims to make these students gain skills that can help them to find and gain livelihood linkage and opportunity as well.
